RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-496
A resolution requesting the Tennessee Department of Transportation to employ a full-time Bicycling/Pedestrian Coordinator.
WHEREAS, the interests of the bicycling and pedestrian public, together with safety concerns, could be enhanced by the employment of a full-time coordinator by the State Department of Transportation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as requesting the Tennessee State Department of Transportation to employ a full-time Bicycling/Pedestrian Coordinator.
SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the Commissioner of the State Department of Transportation.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
