RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-488

A resolution approving an Agreement of Understanding by and between the Utah State Internship Dietetic Internship Program and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to establish the framework within which the Internship Program and the Metropolitan Board of Health can provide learning experiences for dietetic interns.

Whereas, Utah State Internship Dietetic Internship Program wishes to contract with the Metropolitan Board of Health to provide its interns with community nutrition learning activities for the Dietetic Internship Program; and

Whereas, this clinical experience will provide the medical residents with clinical experience in the learning objectives established by the Internship; and

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the Agreement of Understanding be approved.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the Agreement of Understanding by and between the Utah State Internship Dietetic Internship Program and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for its interns to participate in community nutrition learning activities, for a term beginning on November 1, 2000 through October 31, 2001, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved. There is no monetary consideration provision for these services.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
