RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-483
A resolution naming the complex of buildings on Omohundro Drive "The Buddy Williams Water Treatment Complex".
WHEREAS, Mr. Lester "Buddy" Williams
served the Metropolitan Water Services Department of Davidson County for almost
32 years;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Williams began his career with the Metropolitan Water Services in September
of 1968, and has served as Director since July of 1987; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of Mr. Williams' leadership and outstanding public service that
this site be named in his honor; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council honor Mr. Williams
by naming the complex of buildings where the water treatment plant is located
on Omohundro
Drive "The Buddy Williams Water Treatment Complex" and adding a commemorative
entrance structure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE
AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby names the complex of buildings on
Omohundro
Drive "The Buddy Williams Water Treatment Complex".
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of
The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
