RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-472

A resolution recognizing the 2000 Bellevue Steelers (AA) Football Team and Cheerleaders.

WHEREAS, the Bellevue Steelers (AA) Football Team are members of the Mid-State Football League and are sponsored by Circuit City; and

WHEREAS, this superlative team completed an ultra successful season of football competition by marching through their opponents by posting an impressive record of six wins and two losses; and

WHEREAS, the Bellevue Steelers (AA) Football Team is compiled of eleven and twelve year olds and are to be commended for their efforts and performance during the season; and

WHEREAS, this talented team was directed by Coaches Ronnie Bolden, Wayne Foriest and Tori Cassidy, who all are to be commended for their commitment in providing leadership and direction; and

WHEREAS, this talented football team was cheered on by their cheerleaders throughout the season in which they played an integral part of generating and maintaining an atmosphere of excitement and support for their team; and

WHEREAS, these dynamic young cheerleaders are known for their jubilant, exciting and exemplary manner in which they instill spirit in the members of the team and spectators; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize the Bellevue Steelers (AA) football team and the cheerleaders for their outstanding season and achievements in 2000.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing 2000 Bellevue Steelers (AA) Football Team and Cheerleaders.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare a copy of the Resolution to be presented to the coaching staff, each member of the team and the cheerleaders.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
