RESOLUTION NO. RS2001- 466

A resolution recognizing Rev. Paul Durham on the occasion of his 28th anniversary of faithful service with Radnor Baptist Church.

WHEREAS, on Sunday, November 12, 2000, Rev. Paul Durham, celebrated his 28th anniversary as pastor with Radnor Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Paul Durham has served in the ministry for forty seven years; and

WHEREAS, in celebrating this occasion, the congregation was ministered with an inspirational and moving service; and

WHEREAS, a servant of his community as well as of God, Rev. Durham has served on the Traffic and Parking Commission since September of 1992 representing the people with integrity and dedication to the betterment of the lives of his neighbors; and

WHEREAS, it is men like Rev. Paul Durham who selflessly gives of his time, talents, and energy to make the communities throughout Davidson County a great place to live, work, and worship; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize and congratulate Rev. Paul Durham on his many extraordinary achievements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Rev. Paul Durham on the occasion of his 28th anniversary of faithful service with Radnor Baptist Church.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Rev. Paul Durham.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
