RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-99

A resolution recognizing Ted Murray for his contributions to the Bellevue community.

WHEREAS, Ted Murray is a charter member of the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce which was established in 1979; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Murray served as president of the Bellevue Chamber during 1984; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Murray has been actively involved with the planning and zoning of Bellevue for many years, and has owned and operated his own business in Bellevue from 1975 to 1999; and

WHEREAS, he was distinctly honored as the 1987 Bellevue Citizen of the Year; and

WHEREAS, he served the Bellevue community with dedication and dignity, along with being an avid supporter of little sports; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize Mr. Murray on his extraordinary achievements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Mr. Ted Murray for his contributions to the Bellevue community.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare a certificate to be presented to Mr. Ted Murray.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
