RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-98
A resolution honoring Randi Lesnick for creating Pennies For Protection.
WHEREAS, Randi Lesnick has worked countless hours on fundraising; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Lesnick is a strong supporter of the local schools and parent of a child attending Harpeth Valley Elementary School; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Lesnick created Pennies For Protection to raise funds from the Bellevue Community for the local neighborhood schools; and
WHEREAS, money raised through the Pennies For Protection campaign will be used to implement a "Key Pad" security system for Harpeth Valley Elementary School to create a secure and safe learning environment; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Lesnicks ultimate goal is to continue the "Key Pad" program not only throughout all Bellevue schools, but throughout all neighborhood schools in Davidson County; and
WHEREAS, it is someone like Randi Lesnick who selflessly gives of her time, talents, and energy and who makes the community of Bellevue a great place to live, work and raise a family; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize Randi Lesnick for her hard work and dedication to this program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as honoring Randi Lesnick for creating Pennies For Protection.
SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff is directed to prepare a certificate to be presented to Randi Lesnick for this recognition.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
