RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-453

A resolution approving an amendment to a grant contract by and between State of Tennessee, Department of Military, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Office of Emergency Management, for disaster relief assistance in accordance with the hazardous mitigation grant program project application as approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Whereas, Ordinance No. BL2000-522 approved a grant contract no. Z-99-095579-01 in an amount not to exceed seven hundred ninety two thousand five hundred fifty-four dollars and two cents ($792,554.02) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the provision of disaster assistance in accordance with the hazardous mitigation grant program project application as approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency; and

Whereas, the parties wish to amend said contract to increase the total compensation to one million eighty three thousand seven hundred seventy two dollars and thirty two cents ($1,083,772.32); and,

Whereas, Ordinance No. BL2000-522 provided that the grant can be amended by resolution receiving twenty-one (21) votes affirmative votes; and,

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Section 1. That the Amendment to grant contract no. Z-99-095579-01 by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Military, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Office of Emergency Management, for the provision of disaster assistance in accordance with the hazardous mitigation grant program project application as approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which Amendment increases the total compensation to one million eighty three thousand seven hundred seventy two dollars and thirty two cents ($1,083,772.32), a copy attached hereto, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said Amendment.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
