RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-450
A resolution requesting the Davidson County Delegation to the Tennessee General Assembly to introduce and adopt legislation that would permit the Metropolitan Government to increase the amount of local tax payments made in the tax relief program for the elderly.
WHEREAS, annually the Metropolitan County Council adopts a tax relief program for the elderly provided by state law and funds the permitted share of tax payments made to assist the elderly; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as requesting the Davidson County Delegation to the Tennessee General Assembly to adopt legislation that would permit the Metropolitan Government to increase the amount of local tax payments made in the tax relief program for the elderly.
