RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-443

A resolution approving a contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Magellan Behavioral Health, Inc. (now named "Advocare"), for the purpose of reimbursing the Metropolitan Government for transportation of certain TennCare patients.

Whereas, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, has entered into an agreement with Magellan Behavioral Health, Inc. (now named "Advocare") for the purpose of reimbursing the Metropolitan Government for transportation of certain TennCare patients; and,

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Magellan Behavioral Health, Inc. (now named "Advocare") for the purpose of reimbursing the Metropolitan Government for transportation of certain TennCare patients, and for a term beginning on December 6, 1999 and extending through December 6, 2002, which agreement is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, be and the same is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said contract.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
