RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-422

A resolution approving an amendment to the grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for various health care services, increasing the total amount of the grant from $5,164,423.00 to $5,356,123.00.

Whereas, Resolution No. RS2000-285 approved a grant for $5,164.423.00 from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health for to the Metropolitan Government, by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for the provision of various health services; and,

Whereas, Resolution No. RS2000-285 provided that the grant can be amended by resolution receiving twenty-one (21) votes; and,

Whereas the total amount of compensation awarded has been increased and it is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to approve said amendment.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the amendment to the grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, providing various health care services, which amendment increases the amount of said grant from $5,164,423.00 to $5,356,123.00 , and for a term beginning on July 1, 2000 and extending through June 30, 2001, which agreement is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, be and the same is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said amendment.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
