RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-417

A resolution approving an amendment to the grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Primary Health Care, to the Metropolitan Government, by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for health care for the homeless, which amendment increases the grant amount by $30,000.00.

Whereas, Resolution No. RS99-88 approved a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Primary Health Care, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for health care for the homeless; and,

Whereas, the total amount of compensation awarded has been increased; and,

Whereas, it is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to approve said amendment.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the amendment to the grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Primary Health Care, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, providing health care for the homeless, which amendment increases the amount of said grant by $30,000.00, and for a budget period of November 1, 1999 through October 31, 2000, which agreement is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, be and the same is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said amendment.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
