RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-401

A resolution recognizing Adam Gregory Lister upon receiving the prestigious Eagle Scout award.

WHEREAS, Adam Gregory Lister has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest and most distinguished rank conferred by the Boy Scouts of America; and

WHERAS, a candidate for this highest award in scouting must complete a rigorous program of training and demonstrates proficiency in selected scouting techniques; and

WHEREAS, a valued member of Troop 136, this dedicated young man has earned the respect and admiration of his fellow scouts through his active participation in the many programs sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America; and

WHEREAS, Adam Lister has participated in Scouting since an early age and has received numerous achievements and awards earning over twenty merit badges and becoming a member of the Order of the Arrow; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize Adam Gregory Lister on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him best wishes for continue success in all his future endeavors.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Adam Gregory Lister upon receiving the prestigious Eagle Scout award.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Adam Gregory Lister.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
