RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-350

A resolution approving a rental agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County on behalf of the Department of Parks and Recreation and Boswell’s Golf Cart Sales, Inc. for the monthly rental of golf carts.

Whereas, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County has entered into a rental agreement with Boswell’s Golf Cart Sales, Inc. for the monthly rental of Greenskeeper golf carts with truck beds for the Department of Parks and Recreation for a term of five years at the rate of $250 per month per cart (copy attached hereto); and,

Whereas, Metropolitan Code of Laws Section 5.04.020, which applies to all departments, boards, commissions and agencies, provides that all leases for equipment and vehicles shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council if the annual expenditure for said lease exceeds five thousand dollars ($5,000) per year; and,

Whereas, the annual expenditure to rent said golf carts exceeds five thousand dollars ($5,000) per year; and,

Whereas, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to approve said contract.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the contract for the monthly rental of Greenskeeper golf carts with truck beds between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County on behalf of the Department of Parks and Recreation and Boswell’s Golf Cart Sales, Inc, (copy attached hereto and incorporated herein), for a term of five years at a rate of $250 per month per cart is hereby granted.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
