Resolution No. RS2000-332

A resolution recognizing the Bellevue "Blast" All Stars Baseball Team.

WHEREAS, the Bellevue "Blast" All Stars Baseball Team is complied of young men ten (10) years old and primarily residents of the Bellevue area; and

WHEREAS, the team was lead by Head Coaches John Arent, Larry Stewart, Jimmy Williams, and members of this talented team are Darren King, Hunter Williams, Kevin Davis, Zach Bledsoe, Tanner Justice, Matt Arent, Chase Tarpy, Clint Flanagan, Sam Tucker, Donald McCrary, Wilson Nealy and Brock Stewart; and

WHEREAS, this magnificent team performed with precision during the Madison Invitational Tournament and District 9 Tournament by placing first in each tournament; and

WHEREAS, with the accumulation of winning the Madison Invitational and District 9 Tournaments it earned the Bellevue "Blast" All Stars a berth in the state tournament; and

WHEREAS, while playing their hearts out and against strong competition the Bellevue "Blast" placed 3^rd in the state tournament; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize this remarkable team and the coaches for their outstanding season.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing the Bellevue "Blast" All Stars Baseball Team.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare a certificated to be presented to the coaching staff and each member of the team.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
