Resolution No. RS2000-317

A resolution accepting $8,164.96 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government's claim against Evelyn R. Bagwell.

Whereas, on May 14, 2000, Evelyn R. Bagwell was responsible for a vehicular accident that caused damage to a vehicle owned by the Metropolitan Government that was being operated by Jeffery Sisk, an employee of the Department of Fire of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County; and,

Whereas, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable, and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $8,164.96 and that these funds be deposited into the U.S.D. General Fund.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $8,164.96 in compromise and settlement of its claim against Evelyn R. Bagwell.

Section 2: This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
