RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-302

A resolution appropriating $85,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for the construction of sidewalks on Katie Avenue in the Fern Avenue Neighborhood Strategy Area.

Whereas, applications for the twenty-third, twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth years of the Community Development Block Grant program were approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance Nos. O97-995, O98-1428, and O99-69; and

Whereas, the applications for the twenty-third, twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth years included funds allocated to the Fern Avenue Neighborhood Strategy Area; and

Whereas, a portion of these funds in the amount of $85,000 has been recommended by the Citizen Advisory Committee to be used for construction of sidewalks on Katie Avenue; and

Now, Therefore, be it resolved by The Council of Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That $85,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated to the Fern Avenue Neighborhood Strategy Area be appropriated for construction of sidewalks on Katie Avenue.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
