RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-301

A resolution authorizing acceptance of Tennessee Housing Development Agency 2000 State Local Match program entitlement funds (formerly known as HOUSE funds).

Whereas, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County by and through the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency is eligible to receive $333,574 in Tennessee Housing Development Agency 2000 State Local Match program entitlement funds in accordance with provisions of Public Chapter 900, Acts of 1988; and

Whereas, the Metropolitan Council by Resolution R88-242 authorized the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency to receive such funds as they become available and to provide the required local match from the Community Development Block Grant or other funds available to the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency; and

Whereas, 2000 State Local Match program entitlement funds will be used for eligible Local Match program housing improvements for qualified low income households;

Now, Therefore, be it resolved by The Council of Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby authorizes the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency, on behalf of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, to enter into an agreement with the Tennessee Housing Development Agency for $333,574 in 2000 State Local Match program entitlement funds to be matched by HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds.

Section 2. The 2000 State Local Match program entitlement funds will be used for eligible Local Match housing improvements for qualified low income households.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
