Resolution No. RS2000-285

A resolution approving a grant agreement in an amount not to exceed $5,164,423.00 from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Health Department, for the provision of various health services, including adolescent pregnancy initiative, central intake, children's special services, community development services, community prevention initiatives for children, Families First, family planning services, grant-in-aid, health promotion services, tobacco initiative, oral health, primary prevention services, rape prevention education, renal intervention program, STD Services, TennCare and TB Services, and others.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Section 1: That the grant agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, for the provision of health services, which includes adolescent pregnancy initiative, central intake, children's special services, community development services, community prevention initiatives for children, Families First, family planning services, grant-in-aid, health promotion program for tobacco initiative, oral health, primary prevention services, rape prevention education, renal intervention program, STD Services, TennCare, TB Services and others, in an amount not to exceed $5,164,423.00, and for a term beginning on July 1, 2000 and extending through June 30, 2001, which agreement is attached hereto and made a part of this resolution, be and the same is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said agreement.

Section 2: That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
