RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-278
A resolution appropriating $20,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for alley improvements in the Fort Nashboro Neighborhood Strategy Area.
WHEREAS, the application for the Twenty-Fourth Year of the Community Development Block Grant Program was approved by Ordinance 097-995; and
WHEREAS, the application for the Twenty-Fourth year included funds for the Fort Nashboro Neighborhood Strategy Area; and
WHEREAS, certain improvements to Alley No. 11 (running between Broadway and Commerce Street, and between Second and Third Avenues, North) are deemed important and critical components to continued economic development in the downtown area; and
WHEREAS, design plans for said improvements are on file with the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That $20,000 of Community Development Block Grant funds is hereby appropriated for alley improvements in the Fort Nashboro NSA.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
