RESOLUTON NO. RS2000-276

A resolution requesting Bordeaux Hospital to submit quarterly reports to the Metropolitan County Council relative to the status of the waiting list of persons seeking admission to the facility.

WHEREAS, during budget discussions for fiscal year 2000-01, it was determined that there is a waiting list of persons seeking admission to the Bordeaux Hospital facility; and

WHEREAS, it has further been revealed that there are a number of empty beds at the facility that have not been filled; and

WHEREAS, it would be fitting and appropriate that the director of Bordeaux Hospital submit quarterly reports to the Metro Council relative to the waiting list and the number of staffed and occupied beds at the facility.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as requesting the Director of Bordeaux Hospital to submit quarterly reports to the Metro Council relative to the status of the waiting list of persons seeking admission to the facility, including a report on the number of beds staffed and available and the occupancy rates for such beds.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to Bordeaux Hospital Director John Stone, the Director of Finance, and the Mayor.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
