Resolution No. RS2000-263

A resolution recognizing the 1999-2000 Valedictorians and Salutatorians of the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools.

WHEREAS, these students are smart, motivated and demonstrated remarkable academic achievement during their high school tenure; and

WHEREAS, proficiency in academic endeavors has been and continues to be vital to the discoveries that have lengthened the span of our lives and offers hope for solving the problems of today and the future; and

WHEREAS, the future of our Country depends on the leadership of outstanding individuals who have committed their idealism towards an educated society; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize this years valedictorians and salutatorians for their extraordinary accomplishments and scholarly achievements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing the 1999-2000 Valedictorians and Salutatorians of the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to all valedictorians and salutatorians.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
