RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-234
A resolution appropriating $8,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for a summer youth program in the Nashville Enterprise Community.
WHEREAS, the application for the Twenty-Fifth Year of the Community Development Block Grant Program has been approved by Ordinance No. BL99-69;
WHEREAS, the application for the Twenty-Fifth Year included funds for the Nashville Enterprise Community;
WHEREAS, the strategic plan for the Nashville Enterprise Community included summer programs and activities for youth; and
WHEREAS, the Cebrun Journalism Center has submitted a proposal to conduct a summer program for Nashville Enterprise Community youth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That $8,000 of Community Development Block Grant Funds is hereby appropriated for the Cebrun Journalism Center to conduct a summer program in the Nashville Enterprise Community.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
