RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-233
A resolution appropriating $36,250 in Community Development Block Grant funds for summer youth programs in the Nashville Enterprise Community.
WHEREAS, the application for the Twenty-Fifth Year of the Community Development Block Grant Program has been approved by Ordinance No. BL99-69;
WHEREAS, the application for the Twenty-Fifth Year included funds for the Nashville Enterprise Community;
WHEREAS, the strategic plan for the Nashville Enterprise Community included summer programs and activities for youth; and
WHEREAS, the Hadley Park Tennis Club and the Pride Revive Basketball Camp have submitted proposals to conduct summer programs for Nashville Enterprise Community youth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That $30,000 of Community Development Block Grant Funds is hereby appropriated for the Hadley Park Tennis Program to conduct summer programs in the Nashville Enterprise Community.
Section 2. That $6,250 of Community Development Block Grant Funds is hereby appropriated for the Pride Revive Basketball Camp to conduct summer programs in the Nashville Enterprise Community.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
