RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-208
A resolution honoring Caldwell Early Childhood Learning Center.
WHEREAS, Caldwell Early Childhood Learning Center was recently named one of the premier facilities in the Nation; and
WHEREAS, Caldwell is a truly unique school and learning experience for four and five year olds and their families, where the school provides a one-stop service for both their educational and health needs; and
WHEREAS, Caldwell was recognized in the manner for which the faculty and staff work for the total involvement of parents in the education of children; and
WHEREAS, this recognition was given by the Child Care Action Campaign of New York which is a national agency that focuses on recognition of outstanding programs for young children; and
WHEREAS, Caldwell is the only early childhood learning center to be recognized in the State of Tennessee by this organization; and
WHEREAS, the school received recognition under the component "Literacy Its All in the Family"; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes and honors Caldwell Early Childhood Learning Center for this great achievement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as honoring Caldwell Early Childhood Learning Center.
SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare a certificate to be presented to Dianne P. Gilbert, Principal.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
