RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-203

A resolution commending Attorney Ronald K. Nevin for his service as Public Guardian for Davidson County.

WHEREAS, Attorney Ronald Nevin, was elected in 1975, to the position of Public Guardian for Davidson County, who respectfully served our community in this position for over thirty years; and

WHEREAS, the Public Guardian position is an elected position appointed to four (4) years by the Metropolitan Council, shall take the oath of law and be given bond to protect the estates, funds and property that may come into his hands; and

WHEREAS, throughout his career, Attorney Nevin was known not only for his dedicated public service to the community, but for unselfish giving of his time, talents, and energy while making our community a great place to work and live; and

WHEREAS, in addition to lending his legal abilities as Public Guardian, he has devoted many hours of his time interacting with and serving as a positive role model in professional and community organizations throughout Davidson County; and

WHEREAS, Attorney Ronald Nevin has been a truly dedicated public servant, and it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize Attorney Nevin for his faithful service to the citizens of Nashville and Davidson County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby commends Attorney Ronald K. Nevin, as Public Guardian for Davidson County.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff is directed to prepare a certificate to be presented to Attorney Ronald K. Nevin.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
