RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-199
A resolution recognizing Tradd Hampton-Lemacks Staecker for his outstanding act of heroism.
WHEREAS, fourteen-year old Bellevue Middle School honor student, Tradd Hampton-Lemacks Staecker, became a hero by stepping up to fight off a man attempting to rob a kindergarten teacher at a gas station; and
WHEREAS, without any thought for his own personal safety or concern he risked his life by coming to the womans aid who was knocked to the ground and struck in the neck; and
WHEREAS, Tradd approached the knife wielding man, who was twice his age and size and proceeded to shove and kick the suspect off the teacher while in the process getting kicked and knocked to the ground; and
WHEREAS, due to Tradds heroism, unselfishness, and loyalty this fine young man assisted with the ultimate apprehension of the robbery suspect who had fled the store; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize eighth-grader Tradd Hampton-Lemacks Staecker for his outstanding act of heroism.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Tradd Hampton-Lemacks Staecker for his outstanding act of heroism.
SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare a certificate to be presented to Tradd Hampton-Lemacks Staecker.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
