RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-196
A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Department of Law to compromise and settle the claim of Richard F. Beehler and Virginia F. Beehler against The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for $25,000 and directing that this amount should be paid from the Self-Insured Liability Fund.
Whereas, Mr. Richard F. Beehler fell and was seriously injured as a result of defects in a set of wooden steps at the Percy Warner Golf Course; and
Whereas, after investigation, the Metropolitan Department of Law believes that the claim Mr. Richard F. Beehler and Virginia F. Beehler filed against the Metropolitan Government should be compromised and settled in the amount of $25,000 and that this amount should be paid from the Self-Insured Liability Fund.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to compromise and settle the claim of Richard F. Beehler and Virginia F. Beehler for the amount of $25,000 and that said amount should be paid from the Self-Insured Liability Fund.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
