RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-175

A resolution approving the compromise and settlement of the lawsuit of Adam S. Dalton against the Metropolitan Government in an amount not to exceed $6,500.00 and directing that this amount be paid out of the Self-Insured Liability Fund.

Whereas, plaintiff Adam Dalton was injured as a result of an automobile collision on November 24, 1997 when his automobile collided with an automobile driven by Justin Pinkelton, an employee of the Metropolitan Government; and,

Whereas, Adam Dalton incurred injuries and damages as a result of said automobile accident; and,

Whereas, the Metropolitan Department of Law believes that a settlement of Six Thousand Five Hundred ($6,500.00) Dollars, is fair and reasonable and recommends that this claim be compromised and settled and that this amount be paid from the Self-Insured Liability Fund.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to compromise and settle the lawsuit of Adam S. Dalton against the Metropolitan Government for the amount of Six Thousand Five Hundred ($6,500.00) Dollars and that said amount should be paid from the Self-Insured Liability Fund.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
