RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-174
A resolution accepting $7,125.00 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government's claim against Matthew C. Johnson.
Whereas, on December 30, 1999, Matthew C. Johnson was responsible for a vehicular accident that caused damage to a vehicle owned by the Metropolitan Government that was being operated by Jeffrey S. Bauer, an employee of the Department of Police of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County; and,
Whereas, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable, and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $7,125.00 and that these funds be deposited into the G.S.D. General Fund.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $7,125.00 in compromise and settlement of its claim against Matthew C. Johnson.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
