RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-172

A resolution appropriating the amount of $ 5,726,708 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of equipment, and for making repairs to buildings for various departments of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 160,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of document imaging for Assessor of Property.

Section 2: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 713,500 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of tanker pumpers, truck and truck equipment and emergency fire equipment for Fire.

Section 3: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 550,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of emergency ambulances, emergency equipment and/or step van for Fire/Emergency Ambulance.

Section 4: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 200,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building repairs for General Services.

Section 5: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 304,460 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of medical and dental equipment, office equipment, computer equipment, vehicles, cleaning equipment, telecommunications equipment, repairs at commodity warehouse, audiovisual equipment, generator, office furniture, kitchen equipment, telephone system, carpeting and flooring and HVAC equipment for Health.

Section 6: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 137,500 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment and sprinkler system upgrade for computer room for Justice Information System.

Section 7: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 32,250 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment for Juvenile Court.

Section 8: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 49,878 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of law books, office equipment and office furniture for Legal.

Section 9: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 527,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of books, building repairs, library furniture and equipment, carpet and computer equipment for Libraries.

Section 10: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 420,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of playground equipment, ballpark lightning, Sevier Mansion repairs, vehicle, park maintenance equipment, golf maintenance equipment, roof repairs and sports fencing for Parks.

Section 11: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 157,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of imaging system for Personnel.

Section 12: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 235,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of records management system for Planning.

Section 13: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 1,301,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of furniture, law enforcement equipment, computer equipment and local match for police car laptop computers for Police.

Section 14: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 375,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of wheel loader, service body, tractor mower, broom/tractor, belt loader and four-wheel drive truck for Public Works.

Section 15: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 350,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of office furnishings, communications equipment, maintenance equipment, cameras, video equipment, monitors, security equipment, computers and computer equipment and maintenance equipment for Sheriff.

Section 16: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 214,120 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of office furniture, office equipment, building equipment, yard equipment, tools, kitchen equipment, resident furniture, and cleaning equipment for Social Services.

Section 17: As required by Ordinance No. 086-1534, information justifying the appropriations is set forth in the "General Fund Reserve Fund (4% Fund) Information Sheets" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

Section 18: Where applicable, the Purchasing Agent shall procure the equipment or repairs specified in the attachments in accordance with the established purchasing procedures.

Section 19: The Director of Finance may schedule acquisitions authorized herein so as to ensure an appropriate balance in the Fund.

Section 20: This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
