RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-168
A resolution approving a contract between the Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center, Inc. and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Department of Health, to permit Matthew Walker to pay Ninety Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($90,800.00) for the services of two Health Department employees.
Whereas, Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center, Inc. is involved in developing a plan to help reduce cardiovascular disease and diabetes among African Americans; and
Whereas the Health Department employees will conduct be responsible for supervising telephone surveys and then managing the data obtained; and
Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. Marthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center, Inc. and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Department of Health, for the receipt of Ninety Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($90,800.00) for the services of two Health Department employees, a copy of which agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That any amendments to this contract shall be approved by resolution by twenty-one affirmative vote of the Metropolitan Council.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
