RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-164

A resolution to accept the Fiscal Year 2000 Recycling Rebate in the amount of $136,212.

Whereas, the Metropolitan Government has received a recycling rebate in the amount of $136,211.61 from the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation for Solid Waste, Division of Community Assistance; and

Whereas, The Metropolitan Government desires to utilize the funds for various recycling projects;

Whereas, the State rebate program requires a local match of equal dollars; and

Whereas, the local match of $136,212 was appropriated in the fiscal year 1999-2000 Recycling Budget.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: The recycling rebate funds from The State of Tennessee for fiscal year 1999-2000, in the amount of $136,722, are hereby accepted.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
