RESOLUTION NO. RS2000-105
A resolution memorializing the late Charles "Chuck" Nathaniel Arnold.
WHEREAS, Charles "Chuck" Nathaniel Arnold was born on August 20, 1955; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Arnold attended Providence Elementary School, Antioch High School, and David Lipscomb University; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Arnold was first employed by The Tennessean and later by the Metropolitan School System; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Arnold was employed for twenty-five years and spent his last years at Apollo Middle School; and
WHEREAS, one of his loves was sports were he coached in the Una Recreation Football program for twenty-five years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Arnold was a devoted member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church where he loved music and contributed his musical talents by singing in the choir; and
WHEREAS, his passing leaves a hole in the lives of his family, his church, his community, and Apollo Middle School were he was not only a janitor; he was a teacher and a positive role model to the students; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council express their condolences to the family and friends of Charles "Chuck" Nathaniel Arnold upon the occasion of his passing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as memorializing the late Charles "Chuck" Nathaniel Arnold.
SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff is directed to prepare a certificate to be presented to the family of Charles "Chuck" Nathaniel Arnold.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
