SUBSTITUTE RESOLUTION NO. SR98-1367

A substitute resolution appropriating two million dollars ($2,000,000.00) from the unappropriated fund balance of the general fund of the general services district to the Department of Public Works, for tornado-related expenses.

 Whereas, the Metropolitan Council desires to appropriate to the Department of Public Works the amount of two million dollars ($2,000,000.00) from the unappropriated fund balance of the general fund of the general services district for tornado-related expenses; and,

Whereas, this amount, with the exception of the local match due under the disaster assistance grant, will be reimbursed with federal and state disaster assistance grant funds.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the following amount from the unappropriated fund balance of the general fund of the general services district is hereby appropriated:

Public Works: 1-101

521.912 – Emergency/Disaster Services-Other $2,000,000.00

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
