RESOLUTION NO. R99-1651

A resolution setting the official bond amount of the public guardian, public trustee and public administrator.

Whereas, T.C.A., Section 30-1-401, authorizes the county legislative body to establish the necessary amounts of all official bonds of the public guardian, public trustee and public administrator for the protection of the estates, funds, and properties that may come into their hands; and,

Whereas, the Metropolitan Council desires to set the public guardian's bond requirement at two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000.00); and

Whereas, the Metropolitan Council desires to set the public trustee’s bond requirement at one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00); and

Whereas, the Metropolitan Council desires to set the public administrator’s bond requirement at one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00).

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the public guardian's official bond shall be in the amount of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000.00); the public trustee’s bond requirement shall be one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00); and, the public administrator’s bond requirement shall be one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00).

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
