RESOLUTION NO. R99-1638

A resolution appropriating $160,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for the construction of sidewalks on a portion of Lischey Avenue in the Highland Heights Neighborhood Strategy Area.

Whereas, applications for the twenty-first, twenty-second, twenty-third and twenty-fourth years of the Community Development Block Grant program were approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance Nos. 094-1257, 095-77, 096-541 and 097-995; and

Whereas, the applications for the twenty-first, twenty-second, twenty-third and twenty-fourth years included funds allocated to the Highland Heights Neighborhood Strategy Area; and

Whereas, a portion of these funds in the amount of $160,000 has been recommended by the Citizen Advisory Committee to be used for construction of sidewalks on a portion of Lischey Avenue; and

Now, Therefore, be it resolved by The Council of Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That $160,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated to the Highland Heights Neighborhood Strategy Area be appropriated for construction of sidewalks on a portion of Lischey Avenue.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
