RESOLUTION NO. R99-1632
A resolution accepting $9,200.00 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government's claim against Jim Bush Ford Mercury.
Whereas, on March 25, 1999, an employee of Jim Bush Ford Mercury drove his vehicle into the path of a vehicle owned by the Metropolitan Government and being driven by Teddy Richardson, an employee of the Metropolitan Government, causing damage to the Metro vehicle; and
Whereas, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable, and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $9,200.00 and that these funds be deposited into the U.S.D. General Fund.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $9,200.00 in compromise and settlement of its claim against Jim Bush Ford Mercury.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
