RESOLUTION NO. R99-1623
A resolution approving an amendment to a grant between the State of Tennessee, Department of Correction to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the State Trial Courts for the implementation of a supervision and day reporting center.
Whereas, the State of Tennessee, Department of Correction, has awarded a grant contract in an amount not to exceed seven hundred eighty five thousand, seven hundred sixteen dollars ($785,716.00) to the State Trial Courts for the implementation of a supervision and day reporting center and such grant was approved and accepted by The Metropolitan Council by ordinance (Bill No. 098-1451); and,
Whereas, the parties, by mutual agreement, wish to amend the contract by deleting paragraph C.1 in its entirety and replacing it with a new paragraph that increases the grant award from two million three hundred seventy three thousand six hundred thirty-eight dollars ($2,373,638) to two million four hundred thirteen thousand two hundred two dollars ($2,413,202); and
Whereas, Bill No. 098-1451 provided that amendments to the Grant may be approved by Resolution by the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty one affirmative votes;
Whereas, it is deemed to be in the best interest of The Metropolitan Government that this amendment to the contract be approved.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by The Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. That the Amendment to Grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Correction and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the State Trial Courts, which amendment provides for an increase in the grant award from two million three hundred seventy three thousand six hundred thirty-eight dollars ($2,373,638) to two million four hundred thirteen thousand two hundred two dollars ($2,413,202), a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
