RESOLUTION NO. R99-1618

A resolution appropriating $55,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for the purpose of procuring plans and specifications for streetscape improvements for Gallatin Pike in the area of Madison Commercial Village.

WHEREAS, the application for the Twenty-Fourth Year of the Community Development Block Grant Program as approved by Ordinance No. 097-995 allocated funds for the Madison Commercial Village; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency is undertaking efforts to revitalize this commercial area in cooperation with area merchants, and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency desires to utilize $55,000 of Community Development Block Grant funds to secure plans and specifications for streetscape improvements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That $55,000 of Community Development Block Grant Funds is hereby appropriated for the purpose of procuring plans and specifications for streetscape improvements for Gallatin Pike in the area of Madison Commercial Village between Neeleys Bend Road and State Route 45 .

SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
