RESOLUTION NO. R99-1595

A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Government to enter into an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Belle Meade for drainage improvements at the location of Belle Meade Boulevard and Percy Warner Park.

Whereas, the City of Belle Meade ("Belle Meade") and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County ("the Metropolitan Government") desire to participate jointly in the funding and installation of certain storm water drainage improvements at the location of Belle Meade Boulevard and Percy Warner Park; and

Whereas, Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 12-9-101, et seq., ("The Interlocal Cooperation Act") authorizes political subdivisions of the State of Tennessee to enter into cooperative agreements by resolution of the local governing body; and

Whereas, the Belle Meade City Commission authorized the Agreement attached hereto by passage of a resolution on June 3, 1999; and

Whereas, it is in the best interests of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to enter into said agreement with the City of Belle Meade.

Now therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit 1 is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said Agreement.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
