RESOLUTION NO. R99-1593

A resolution appropriating the amount of $ 3,174,500 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of equipment, and for making repairs to buildings for various departments of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 451,700 from the General fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of hospital room furniture, patient equipment, building improvements, dietary equipment, computer equipment, environmental equipment, maintenance equipment, office equipment/furniture, grounds equipment, education equipment and medical equipment for Bordeaux Hospital.

Section 2: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 148,300 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of office equipment/furniture, patient education equipment, patient care equipment, environmental services equipment, patient room furniture, imaging equipment and computer equipment for General Hospital.

Section 3: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 387,500 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building repairs for GSA buildings and elevator repairs in Stahlman Building for General Services.

Section 4: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 215,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of cardkey security system for Juvenile Court.

Section 5: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 40,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of law books and office equipment for Legal.

Section 6: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 374,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of books, computer equipment, HVAC and plumbing equipment, building repairs, roof repairs, carpet, maintenance and custodial equipment for Libraries.

Section 7: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 28,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of vehicles for Mayor’s – Emergency Management.

Section 8: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 375,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of Parthenon lighting, community center equipment, computer equipment, building repairs, ranger vehicle, sportsplex equipment and park shelter for Parks.

Section 9: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 300,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of furniture, computer equipment and law enforcement equipment for Police.

Section 10: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 525,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment, trucks, mower, chipper and broom for Public Works.

Section 11: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 330,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building renovations, HVAC equipment and laundry equipment for Sheriff.

Section 12: As required by Ordinance No. 086-1534, information justifying the appropriations is set forth in the "General Fund Reserve Fund (4% Fund) Information Sheets" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

Section 13: Where applicable, the Purchasing Agent shall procure the equipment or repairs specified in the attachments in accordance with the established purchasing procedures.

Section 14: The Director of Finance may schedule acquisitions authorized herein so as to ensure an appropriate balance in the Fund.

Section 15: This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
