RESOLUTION NO. R99-1579
A resolution appropriating funds from increased revenue sources to the Metropolitan Police Department from COPS MORE grant.
Whereas, funds have been received during fiscal year 1998-1999 from the United States Department of Justice under the COPS MORE grant program; and
Whereas, said money is to be used by the Metropolitan Police Department to purchase software and deploy patrol officers engaged in community policing; and
Whereas, it is necessary to make an appropriation from this revenue source to the departmental appropriation so as to carry out the purposes of the grant.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. That the following sum is hereby appropriated from the General Fund of the General Services District to the account listed below:
