RESOLUTION NO. R99-1578

A resolution authorizing the transfer of funds in the amount of $540,309 from the unappropriated fund balance of the solid waste fund for various solid waste activities.

Whereas, there are certain needs that must be addressed to provide an/or maintain services in the Solid Waste Program; and

Whereas, it is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to appropriate the amount of $540,309 to fund these needed activities for Solid Waste, and

Whereas, of the above amount $296,679.00 is needed to meet increased rates associated with refuse disposal in the Urban Services District, and

Whereas, of the above amount $243,710. 00 is need for the hauling of fly ash from the Nashville Thermal Transfer Plant,

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That there is hereby appropriated $296,679.00 from the unappropriated fund balance of the Solid Waste Fund (30501, 42700100) (BAI-146,NV599.501) to be transferred to the Solid Waste Fund Refuse Collection, to the Department of Public Works (30501-42700300) (BA146-599.552) to finance the increase in the Refuse Collection Service contracts in the USD.

Section 2: That there is hereby appropriated $243,710.00, from the unappropriated fund balance of the Solid Waste Fund (30501, 42700100)(BAI-146,NT599.501) to be transferred to the Solid Waste Fund - Disposal, to the Department of Public Works in (30501-42700100) (BA 1-146,NT599.512) for the contract hauling of fly ash.

Section 3: That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville arid Davidson County requiring it.
