RESOLUTION NO. R99-1562
A resolution appropriating funds from increased revenue sources to the Metropolitan Police Department for P.O.S.T. Salary Supplement.
Whereas, funds have been received during fiscal year 1998-99 from the State of Tennessee Department of Safety pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 38-8-111; and,
Whereas, said money is to be used by the Metropolitan Police Department to compensate one thousand one hundred and eighty-nine (1,189) police officers for successfully completing forty (40) hours of in-service training during 1998; and,
Whereas, it is necessary to make an appropriation from this revenue source to the departmental appropriation contained in the FY 1998-99 operating budget so as to cover the required costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the following sum is hereby appropriated from the General Fund of the General Services District to the account listed below which is in addition to those contained in the current operating budget:

Section 2. That the above additional appropriation is to be funded from the following source.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
