RESOLUTION NO. R99-1484

A resolution expressing Metro Council support of two Memorandums of Understanding agreements between Metropolitan Juvenile Court and the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency and the Metropolitan Transit Authority.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Juvenile Court has entered into two separate Memorandums of Understanding, one with the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA), and a second with the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), copies of which are attached hereto, which are requested to be approved by ordinance of the Metropolitan Council before becoming effective; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council express its attempt to address and approve the ordinances which would make these Memorandums of Understanding effective.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as expressing support of the two Memorandums of Understanding agreements between the Metropolitan Juvenile Court and the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency and the Metropolitan Transit Authority.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the Executive Director of the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency, the Executive Director of the Metropolitan Transit Authority, and to the Juvenile Court Judge.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
