RESOLUTION NO. R99-1477

A resolution recognizing Mrs. Vivian Ray upon her retirement from service with Cloverbottom Developmental Center.

WHEREAS, on December 31, 1998, Mrs. Vivian Ray retired after completing 33 years of dedicated and faithful service with Cloverbottom Developmental Center; and

WHEREAS, throughout her career Mrs. Ray was known for her dedicated public service to Cloverbottom Developmental Center, for being a tireless aide to the residents and the administration of the Center, and for being a trusted friend and confidant to her co-workers; and

WHEREAS, during her tenure at Cloverbottom, Mrs. Ray was a loyal worker and was committed to performing her job as a Habitational Therapist to the best of her ability; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Ray is a devout and long-time member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, and she has always set a Christian example for others to follow in their lives; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Ray is very active in the Nashville community, and she gives of her time and service as a member of the Parthenon Chapter of Links, Inc., a member of the Marine Corps Auxiliary Unit, an active member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, serves as Treasurer of Les Jeunesse Civic Club, and she is a former Commandress and Deputy of the Oasis for the Daughters of Isis; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize Mrs. Vivian Ray upon her retirement from service with Cloverbottom Developmental Center.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as honoring Mrs. Vivian Ray upon her retirement from service following 33 years of dedicated service with Cloverbottom Developmental Center

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare a certificate to be presented to Mrs. Vivian Ray.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
