RESOLUTION NO. R99-1475

A resolution appropriating the amount of $ 4,755,093 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of equipment, and for making repairs to buildings for various departments of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 298,240 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of medical equipment, hospital room furnishings, computer equipment, dining room furniture, maintenance equipment, environmental equipment, office equipment, office furniture, dietary equipment, patient equipment, patient furniture and grounds equipment for Bordeaux Hospital.

Section 2: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 550,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of ambulances, vehicles, computer equipment and medical equipment for Fire/Emergency Ambulance.

Section 3: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 550,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of a pumper/tanker, vehicles and fire equipment for Fire.

Section 4: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $151,760 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of patient care equipment, dietary equipment, computer equipment, laboratory equipment and cardiac monitoring equipment for General Hospital.

Section 5: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 200,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building repairs for GSA buildings for General Services.

Section 6: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 65,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of architectural services and building renovations for traffic school for General Sessions.

Section 7: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 376,820 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building repairs and building renovation, office furniture, office equipment, office furnishings, computer equipment, lab equipment, medical equipment, safety equipment, audiovisual equipment, cellular phones and trucks for Health.

Section 8: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 40,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of law books and office equipment for Legal.

Section 9: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 526,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of books, computer equipment, building repair, furniture and library equipment and security equipment for Libraries.

Section 10: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 535,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of maintenance equipment, special services equipment, building repairs, roof replacement, recreational equipment and playground equipment for Parks.

Section 11: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 353,823 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of carpet, computer equipment, dispatch furniture, imaging equipment, CAD equipment, law enforcement equipment, ballistics test tank, body armor, office furniture, remodel CJC offices and computer equipment for Police.

Section 12: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 375,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of pick-up trucks and parking meters for Public Works.

Section 13: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 330,700 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment, office furnishings, communications equipment, camera and video equipment, security equipment and laundry equipment for Sheriff.

Section 14: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 282,750 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building repairs, lawn furniture, exercise equipment, cleaning equipment, office equipment, computer equipment, medical equipment, camera equipment, cooking equipment, lawn equipment, television equipment and vehicles for Social Services.

Section 15: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 120,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of video equipment, office equipment and office furniture for State Trial Courts.

Section 16: As required by Ordinance No. 086-1534, information justifying the appropriations is set forth in the "General Fund Reserve Fund (4% Fund) Information Sheets" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

Section 17: Where applicable, the Purchasing Agent shall procure the equipment or repairs specified in the attachments in accordance with the established purchasing procedures.

Section 18: The Director of Finance may schedule acquisitions authorized herein so as to ensure an appropriate balance in the Fund.

Section 19: This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
