RESOLUTION NO. R99-1424

A resolution approving the appointment of Ms. Karan Howard to the Metropolitan Nashville Port Authority.

WHEREAS, Ms. Karan Howard has completed her latest term of service on the Metropolitan Nashville Port Authority; and

WHEREAS, Mayor Bredesen has requested that Ms. Howard be reappointed

to the Port Authority for a term set to expire on March 15, 2000; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Howard has demonstrated that she is well qualified to serve in said position.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the appointment of Ms. Karan Howard to the Metropolitan Nashville Port Authority is hereby approved.

SECTION 2. That Ms. Howard’s term on the Metropolitan Nashville Port Authority will expire March 15, 2000.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
