RESOLUTION NO. R99-1415
A resolution authorizing the transfer of funds from the GSD General Fund to the Solid Waste Disposal Fund (1-146) and to appropriate said funds to the Solid Waste Disposal Fund for various solid waste activities.
Whereas, there are certain needs that must be addressed to provide and/or maintain services in the Solid Waste Program; and
Whereas, the Metropolitan Government pursuant to Substitute Ordinance O98-1237 appropriated funds in a reserve account (101-521.352) for the purpose of use for Solid Waste Disposal Fund (1-146) activities through which such obligations are by law discharged, not to exceed the amount of $811,000.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1: That the funds appropriated by the Metropolitan Government pursuant to the Solid Waste reserve account (101-521.352) authorized by Substitute Ordinance O98-1237 in the amount of $315,000 are hereby appropriated for transfer to the Solid Waste Disposal Fund for the contracting of consultant services for: 1) the continuation of routine monitoring of the Bordeaux Landfill and the Ash Monofill ($25,000); 2) general planning and engineering ($130,000); 3) preparation of remediation plans for the Old Due West and Lebanon Road old landfill sites ($135,000); and, 4) NPDES stormwater monitoring ($25,000). All said funds are to be transferred to Fund No. 1-146 MP599.501and appropriated to MP599.542.
Section 2: That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
